Amanda started filming for  her music video on her latest single 'Far From Perfect' The video took place in Orlando, Florida, far from home for this Iowa native.
The whole concept of the video was about an average girl who was simply just 'Far From Perfect', and not your high class barbie doll look alike. But a confident girl who loved herself just the way she was even though she wasn't miss popular.
Some shots here of my stylist, actresses, and photographer. In the video they spent two days decorating my bedroom wall in the sound studio. It was insane!!

Meeting the cast and crew. The same day Amanda started filming, she met her girls, the ones who played the unoticed, average, nice girls and the popular, pretty, mean girls. As I wa s watching Amanda and the other cast members introduce themselves, I quickly began to notice them become the best of friends.
They seemed to have so much in common with eachother. Amanda didn't seem to hit it off only with her cast mates, but also with the crew. You could tell by the way they were laughing and joking around throughout the project that they all seemed to be having such a great time working with eachother. Not only that, but whenever Amanda asked a question or needed help with something, whoever it was, the director, camera crew, photographer, would give their opinion or advice and she would take it, learn quickly from it and put it to good use.

The three primary locations. The three locations the director decided to use were a bedroom, an amusement park and The Portifino at Universal Orlando. 
He felt if he used a young and fun teens bedroom, covered in magazine pictures and posters, along with fun accessories, almost every teenage girl would be able to relate.
The idea that an amusement park would be used, came from the fact that most teensagers like seeking adventure and where else could you find that other than an amusement park! He thought it would be the perfect example of thrill, not only that but also where most teens like to spend their time.
Lastly, The Portifino was suggested just for the simple fact that it was a beautiful location. With the background looking almost identical to Italy and the pond with the small boats bouncing through it gave it that really cool exotic look that I think everyone will enjoy! Overall, Amanda clearly had a wonderful experience shooting her first official music video!

Amanda is performing at the Candeo fundraising event in Des Moines, IA. Candeo offes services to people in need of support with living and job skills to offer independent living within a community versus an institutional setting.She will be singing the National Anthem at the beginning of our first annual Wheel Chair Basketball event. She will also perform during halftime.
June 5th 2010:
Amanda is performing live at the SCANDINAVIAN DAYS FESTIVAL STORY STAGE : Time:4PM - 5PM.
May 2010:
Amanda performed South East Polk Centennial Elementary In Altoona, Iowa. She met so many students . She had a blast talking to the kids after the show. When the video footage comes out you will see her signing socks, shoes, and all kinds of different objects. This event also promoted a lot of new fans and CD sales.
